All swimmers Novice through Division 4 need a pair of long rubber fins with a built in foot. All swimmers Div 5 -8 need short training fins (like zoomers).
Once again please not the dive fins. Now the difference in the diving fins vs the swim fins is: Usually the diving fins are longer and are made for a longer slower kick. There is also a back on them that is adjustable. This is not good for younger kids because they come off so easily. And we have been using up a lot of practice time for the younger kids just to have them put their dive fins back on. The swim fins are for a faster quicker kick. They improve ankle flexibility and leg strength. They fit snug on the foot so they don't fall off.
